Meghan's Milly

Milly, eldest daughter of my Champion Meghan, has been combining the positive traits of her dam and the best of her sire, Ashton View Horace. If I could pick one area that I would like to improve on, it would be length of body. Milly's dam has an incredibly long body and as level as it was long. Milly is not really short on body length but, neither is it exceptional like her dam. Milly supercedes her dam in the mammary department, at least in conformation. In production, she has not yet matched her dam, Meghan,who produced 7 litres a day, besting not only Milly, but all of the other does in my barn. Milly has a good milk production and can readily feed her own kids, in addition to providing decently for the milk bucket and, being as Milly is young, she may yet match or better her dam's production.
Milly's 2004 kids have been sold.

My dear Miss Naughty was rough housing with her friends one day, close to her kidding date, and she played a little too rough, causing the loss of her twins. Miss Naughty was devastated over the loss of her babies but, the Boer goat named Chrissy had two almost white kids; so, Miss Naughty decided to adopt one of Chrissy's doelings and raise it as her own. Both dams seem quite satisfied with the arrangement and Miss Naughty does not mind that her adoptee has longer ears and a louder bleat than her self.

Shadow is a very quiet, unassuming doe. I predict that this little doe shall be one of the best milkers in my herd. Moment is so similar in body construction to her dam, it's like seeing Meghan as a kid again. Moment freshened with a single buckling in April of 2004. She has a lovely, globular, well attached udder. I have not been milking her and instead, have allowed her to raise her buckling; so, the amount that she produces remains unknown for this year.
