Meghan's lineage goes way back to when I was first beginning to understand the genetics concept of goats. My first URG (UnRecorded Grade status) goat, was SilverStreams Amelia, who went on to win her Champion status. It is wonderful to know that from such humble beginnings, Meghan yet carries on the tradition by having earned Permanent Grand Champion status for herself. Meghan has doelings from previous freshenings that are working hard in commercial dairies, in addition to a few doelings retained in my herd. This year, Meghan has been bred to Sweating Acres F. It is with a very heavy heart, that a decision was made to part with my dear Meghan. She and a few of her herd mates will be moving to Manitoba later this month to join the Rock Island Herd.
