The SilverStreams Chevon Herd includes Purebred Registered Boers, Percentage Boers, Nubian/Boer crosses, and grade Nubians.  Because SilverStreams primary interest is in the commercial aspects of goat meat production, SilverStreams criteria for selection of quality meat herd dams, is productivity and performance, while not neglecting conformation.

        The core of SilverStreams meat herd consists of healthy, solid meat-type dams and SilverStreams Thor who throws heavy, fast growing kids.

        All meat kids are disbudded and meat bucklings are neutered within the first two weeks.  Generally,  SilverStreams meat bucklings are not sold as herd sires, due to lack of recordation. Doelings are available for replacement/breeding stock, provided they exhibit the qualities that are integral to a quality meat producing dam.

Jade carries all the genetics to produce quality breeding stock kids, which she does consistently.  SilverStreams has retained one of her daughters, Katie; all Jade's other kids have new homes in different meat goat herds.  Jade was bred to Silverhawk, our Nubian Sire.

~ Silverstreams Coffee and Cream ~
born 1996

Coffee is one of the Grand Matriarchs in the herd.  Coffee  has been with the herd since 1998.  Having proven her worth year after year, she most often produces and raises triplets.  Along with having a winning personality, Coffee has more than paid her way in the Silverstreams herd.

Coffee is bred to SilverStreams Nubian herd sire, Ryans Ridge OGBH  Silverhawk, for her 2004 kidding.  Sadly, we lost our Boer herd sire, "Mr. Twinkles", when we lent him out for servicing another herd.  Coffee and her kids shall be offered for sale.

~ Silverstreams Fifty-Nine ~
born March 1, 2001

Fifty-nine has the typical Boer style body that reproduces itself, consistently in her offspring.  Fifty-nine has one of the strongest mothering instincts that I have ever seen.  She not only wanted her own kids, but all the others in the pen.  I really like this doe and feel her potential is just blossoming.  As a first freshener, Fifty-nine produced triplets.  Once again, due to the loss of my Boer Sire, Fifty-nine has been bred to SilverStreams Nubian Sire, Ryans Ridge OGBH  Silverhawk.

~ Pat's Pride Katie ~

Katie is a typical Boer goat with a good genetic background.  As a second freshener, in 2003 Katie produced twin doelings.  Katie is bred to my Nubian Sire, Ryans Ridge OGBH  Silverhawk.

~ Silverstreams Ninety ~

Ninety is an Old Style grade Nubian.  She displays the true Nubian head and has a very deep body.    Ninety is bred to my Nubian herd sire, Ryans Ridge OGBH  Silverhawk for her 2004 kids.  UpDate: Ninety pulled a fast one and had a romance with a boarding Alpine buck; so, her triplets shall be sold for the meat price of $100.00 each.

~ Comox Valley Miss Piggy ~

Miss Piggy The Prima Donna of  the 2002 Coldwater Goat Show

Piggy's star does not shine in the show ring, she'd rather be at home with her alfalfa hay and maybe some apples to crunch on.  Piggy has an excellent boer body and passes that on to her offspring;  she is a first freshener in 2003, and presented me with twin doelings.

 ~ Seventy-Eight ~

Seventy-Eight is another old style Nubian displaying that incredible depth of barrel that permits room for multiple kids.  Seventy-Eight freshened in April with *Quads*.  Seventy-Eight has been sold but, I have retained her doeling and a lovely cinnamon brown gal she is. 

The doeling is for sale for $150.00, recordation papers included.

~ Comox Valley Sue ~

Sue is a cross between a purebred boer and nubian.  Sue displays the Nubian body and the Boer colouring.  Sue has twins, each freshening.  Sue has a wonderful disposition and is a joy to work with.  She is bred to my Nubian Buck, Ryans Ridge OGBH Silverhawk.
