definition of
HIT COUNTER"record of individual or cumulative page views"
A hit counter provides a visual, numeric record of the quantity of times any page or all pages of your website have been viewed, as determined by counter installation placement. If the same counter is installed on all pages of your website, that counter records the cumulative quantity that all of your website pages have been viewed. If a counter is installed on only one page, that counter records only the quantity of times that specific page has been viewed. Also, cumulative and individual page counters may be simultaneously resident on the same page, to provide simultaneous count record of individual and cumulative page views.
At the customer's request, each counter may be preset to a specific starting number or reset to zero. The installation of one hit counter, is included FREE with each PRISM PORTAL hosted website. PRISM PORTAL web design rates apply to the installation of additional counters. Hit Counters can be placed and custom designed to your specifications.
